Turmeric up 2% on increasing demand
On 21st February 2011, at National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange, the prices of Turmeric for the April month contracts increased by almost 2.06% to reach Rs 9,932 per quintal. The total traded quantity of the commodity stood at 1,810 lots representing Rs 179769.20 crore in value terms.
