Ghana Cocoa Buying From Farmers Advances 43% in Season so Far, Data Shows
Cocoa purchases in Ghana, the world's second-largest producer of the beans, increased 43 percent in the first 17 weeks of the marketing season, according to a government official with access to the information. Companies licensed by the Ghana Cocoa Board to purchase the beans from farmers bought 675,838 metric tons in the period ended Jan. 27, compared with 474,355 tons in the same period a year
